New Year - New Blog
Hi - I'm the Science Edugator!
As I enter this new year, I look forward to trying new things. Setting resolutions hasn't really ever worked for me, but trying new things is something I always make time for.
A little bit about me - in the past 6 months, I have transitioned from a full time teacher to a SAHM to my almost 2 year old. Best job ever! But, gosh do I miss the classroom. I am a former 5th grade teacher of 7 years, both in the brick and mortar classroom and the virtual setting. Both amazing experiences, but so different.
I miss teaching every day. Of course teaching my son every day is an amazing experience. He soaks up everything like a sponge. But there is nothing like having your own classroom, with your own students, hungry for knowledge every day when they come to school.
To the point - I miss it. So, I created this blog. I want to connect with other teachers, or even other teachers turned SAHMs. I want to share resources - things I would use in my own classroom.
My teaching philosophy - students learn by doing. And teach kids, not stuff.
Hopefully this blog helps you in your teaching journey. I know it will help me stay connected to the teaching world I love so much!
Are you currently teaching? What grades? How long?
